Where We've Been, More Importantly,
Where We Are Going

Located in Ben Lomond, Arkansas, Red
Bud Farms began in 1994 with the
purchase of 2 commercial heifers.  Today,
we run 300 head on 2,500 acres of rolling
hills in southwest Arkansas. Our herd
consists of both commercial and
registered cattle.

In 1996, we purchased our first Red Brangus cattle from Thomas Rayfield in
Ashdown, Arkanasas.  Later investments at the dispersals of Hoover Ranch
in Nashville, Arkansas, Three Corners Ranch in Gilmer, Texas, and Dogwood
Creek Farms in Flatonia, Texas gave us our foundation.  We have built on
that foundation for many years now and have recently begun to bring in
new genetics from Oak Creek Farms in Chappel Hill, TX and Cox Excalibur in
Weimer, Texas.  We raise 3/8 5/8th's, 1/4 blood, 1/2 blood, commercial, and
true F1 Red Brangus bulls and replacement heifers.

In addition to our Red Brangus cattle,
we raise category 1A Red Angus and
have been doing so since 2002.  Our
foundation stock have come from the
                                                    dispersals of Leachman Cattle Company
Billings, MT and Center Ranch in
                                                    Centerville, Texas.  We have added
                                                    genetics through purchases from Parker
Ranch in Booneville, Arkansas.

We also maintain a herd of registered polled Red Brahman bulls and heifers
for sale.  These cattle were purchased from Happy Valley Ranch in Hallsville,
Texas.  We use these cattle to produce a small number of registered Red
Brahman bulls.  We also breed these to Red Angus bulls to bring in new
genetics into our Red Brangus herd.

We have focused on these breeds
in efforts to provide genetics for
cattlemen facing challenges while
raising cattle in the southern fescue
belt. Additionally, we are using
artificial insemination and embryo
transfer to bring top genetics to
our customers. At Red Bud Farms,
we strive to produce functional,
efficient cattle that will work for our customers.  Our registered cattle are
managed exactly like our commercial cattle - they either perform or they
don't, culling those that don't.

Our beginnings have been slow, but our future looks bright.  We hope you
think of us when it comes time to make your next cattle purchase.  When
you make a purchase from our ranch, you are giving us the opportunity to
help you with your operation, and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to  us. We look forward to
working with you.
